Poem by Peggy Bouse-Ruby's Soul-Mates Remembered

These photos represent some of the soul-mates I have cherished. Until we meet again.... I love you. Rest gently in God's nurturing essence. amen ~ Ruby *o*

Peggy Bouse said everything in her evocative poem, that I feel.
We go through life so often,
Not stopping to enjoy the day.
And we take each one for granted,
As we travel on our way.
For in your pain and sorrow,
An Angel's Kiss will help you through,
This kiss is very private,
For it is meant for only you.
We never stop to measure,
Anything we just might miss.
But if the wind should blow by softly,
You'll feel an Angel's Kiss.
A kiss that is sent from heaven,
A kiss from up above
A kiss that is very special,
From someone that you love.
So when, your hearts are heavy,
And filled with tears and pain.
And no one can console you,
Remember once again.
About the ones you grieve for,
Because you sadly miss.
And the gentle breeze you took for granted,
Was just an Angel's Kiss.

MY FRIEND ASKED ME HOW I AM DOING?

My friend asked me how I am doing?
So I replied back........ Well, here goes - - - - - - - I smile often. Laugh often. Make believe often. There are enough medical issues to choke on. Rather not discuss them or give energy to them.
The world is !@#$%$ insane so I cannot listen to news. This land is in turmoil and broke so I have stopped listening when my pals, who collect or are praying to collect retirement pensions, bitch that they are scared sh-tless they will lose their pensions b/c America is exponentially bankrupted. Nothing lasts forever. Not even a great country or an Empire, not insolvent Federal/State/City governments, nor a brainwashed population chronically addicted to borrowing and spending what they themselves refuse to save for.

And last but certainly not least, I thank and love you for even bothering to ask! Grins ;-) Are you sorry you asked???????????? Many hugs and prayers go your way. Surely you are a living and adorable doll for caring enough about me to ask how I am. Thank God for my sense of humor.
Love *o* and a few kisses oxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxox

At least you still have a sense of humor. Being unemployed for a year, unwillingly pulling my two kids out of college, job hunting until I am blue in the face, and then watching how the assorted spendaholics in government are wasting taxpayer money non-stop, I might have to say that my sense of humor is asleep.Thank you for saying what I feel and do not know how to say.

Yes, That's exactly what I was trying to say.

You must be joking on me Dr. Yanez. Why so pessimistic? Can't you see how wonderfully the world, and our government are managing all our borrowed trillions of unending debt? We borrow like addicts. We spend like raving maniacs, giving money to dictators who pocket it and have Swiss bank accounts..... We fight wars in foreign lands to destroy them and rebuild them. We cannot protect our own borders because your government keeps lying and says they are safe. We owe our future children's vital organs. There's nothing to complain about. Just take our mind-controlling pills and shut our mouths while the government destroys our once upon a time great nation!

Native American Wolf Wisdom-Author Unknown To Me

This Native American Wolf Wisdom is a big favorite of mine.
Author Unknown To Me

http://normasark.blogspot.com/

Probably the simplest way I have heard life explained...

One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people.

He said, "My son, the battle is between two wolves inside us all. One is Evil - It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego. The other is Good - It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith."
The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather:
"Which wolf wins?"

The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed."

Army admits Gulf War medical records destroyed

I once had a vet patient who was gravely ill from The Gulf War and the government told him he was crazy.
Believe me, this poor soul was NOT crazy! ~ RubyNorma *o*

Army admits Gulf War medical records destroyed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Feb. 11, 2011 08:11 AMWTSP-TV, Tampa-St. Petersburg, Fla.
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - A letter from the Department of the Army telling units to destroy their records after the end of Operation Desert Storm has made it more difficult for injured veterans to get the
medical benefits they need.
The letter, never made public before now, says units were told to destroy their records because officials had no room to ship the paperwork back to the United States. The letter goes on to say it was in direct contradiction to existing Army regulations.
"This could have been one, five, six, a couple of hundred or this could be thousands (of soldiers)," says Andrew Marshall, a Florida regional officer with the nonprofit Disabled American Veterans group. "You don't know."

One solider trying to get help from the Veterans Administration for combat-related injuries says he has been turned down because his records are missing. He did not want to be identified.
He says he has all the
medical records for the time he was in the states, but the records for everything that happened outside of the country are gone.
Marshall says the Army should have backups to the records destroyed in the Persian Gulf.
But the Army's letter says several years after soldiers began putting in medical claims, it was discovered all records below the brigade level no longer existed.
Operation Desert Storm pushed Iraqi troops out of Kuwait but kept Saddam Hussein in
power and lasted from Aug. 2, 1990, to the cease-fire April 11, 1991. In the conflict, 383 service members died; as of last year, 467 were reported injured. About 2.225 million troops served in the war, according to the Congressional Research Service.
Not just the after-action reports have been destroyed or are missing. According to some files, when some veterans come to the Veterans Administration to get help for service-related disabilities, records show they served, but medical records are missing.
That means when the vets make claims, they are turned down.
Another Gulf War vet who also didn't want to be identified said what disturbs him most is the lack of recourse.
This veteran served 20 years in the Army. The Veterans Administration has documentation that he served in the 82nd Airborne division as an Army ranger and made 125 parachute jumps. All of his claims, including hearing loss, ankle and back injury, have been denied because efforts to obtain his service medical records were unsuccessful.
The Department of Defense did send a letter telling the same soldier that he and others in his unit were in an area where exposure to nerve agents sarin and cycolosarin was possible, but they should not worry about any side effects.
"So we all got exposed to nerve agent as well, and according to the military, that is never going to affect us," he said. "They just wanted to advise us that we've been exposed."
Rep. C.W. "Bill" Young, R-Fla., says he did not know of the Army's letter until now. His office asking the Defense Department to look into the matter.Read more:

This post is being prompted by a few articulate patients of mine who have had the same experiences and required help in dealing with the traumatic reality of medical mal-practice. ~ Ruby *o*

Blessings for everything! Be happy. Do you realize?????????? Our mortal life is so short down here. Been gazing at an ancient photo of my mother (the best and most loyal friend in this life) near the very end of her relatively brief stay here.... and decided to make it my screen saver. It helps me when I am missing her and my deceased loved ones.
Have any of you lost your cherished ones.... both people and pets, to medical mal-practice? If so, and if you wish to discuss this with me, then know that that's how my mother Irene, first husband Felipe, and maternal grandmother Minnie all met their ends.
There are pensive times when I almost cannot believe it. Then I realize how common medical mal-practice really is, and how adept some unscrupulous people are at erasing and fudging up damning medical records in a frantic hurry to evade punishment! On the other side of this equation, are those needless and unwarranted lawsuits against innocents, who then have to defend themselves. Isn't life a strange and wondrous spiritual and emotional challenge? ~ Love Ruby *o*

The Mirror Edmund Burke, 1729 - 1797, Irish Philosopher

I look in the mirror
And what do I see?
A strange looking person
That cannot be me.

For I am much younger
And not nearly so fat
As that face in the mirror
I am looking at.

Oh, where are the mirrors
That I used to know
Like the ones which were
Made thirty years ago?

Now all things have changed
And I`m sure you`ll agree
Mirrors are not as good
As they used to be.

So never be concerned,
If wrinkles appear
For one thing I`ve learned
Which is very clear,

Should your complexion
Be less than perfection,
It is really the mirror
That needs correction!!
