POWER CAN CORRUPT

If this portrays some of the worst in human nature and "dictator/politicians" around the world, please send it to those who would like to see where it came from? Ruby *o*

Power corrupts; absolute power corrupts absolutely
Origin

This arose as a quotation by John Emerich Edward Dalberg Acton, first Baron Acton
(1834–1902). The historian and moralist, who was otherwise known simply as Lord Acton, expressed this opinion in a letter to Bishop Mandell Creighton in 1887:

"Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Great men are almost always bad men."

Another English politician with no shortage of names - William Pitt, the Elder, The Earl of Chatham and British Prime Minister from 1766 to 1778, is sometimes wrongly attributed as the source.

Comments:
Yes! Power does corrupt. All you need to look at are those who mandate peoples' lives. Whether it be in religions, politics, businesses, or even in schools, "ABSOLUTE POWER COURRUPTS ABSOLUTELY."
Anon who works in your government and sees the ego-run decisions every day of my life.

For far too long America has closed its eyes to the reality that government is growing bigger like a Cancer. The price is too terrible to remind you about. Think America!!!!! We are losing our nation and it may already be too late.
Anon in the military
