I thought that you might like to know I got here safe and sound
Though you must feel rather strange not having me around;
Of course, I am not really gone, I've just moved out of sight,
And I don't need that old body, things had stopped working right....
Sometimes I'm sorely tempted, to pop back down and see,
Just how you are managing, without any help from me,
But I'm sure that you will understand I can't come back to stay,
Though I have it on good authority that we'll meet again someday.
I thought that you might like to know I got here safe and sound

up here's delicious - Ambrosia brand, it's named,
Once you've tasted this stuff, Friskies won't taste the same,
And where do they get this nectar, which thick and creamy comes,
It's not like other dairy products 'cause it don't give me the runs.
I haven't found the litter tray, and THIS perplexes me,
That however much I wolf down, I never have to pee.
But there are other plus points, which cannot be ignored,
My claws have all come back again and there are drapes here to be clawed.

THE NEW NORMAL
There is a new normal enveloping us. It is called stupid, lazy, uneducated, inept, it's not my job, and etc. This has been a week of realizing that depending on a number of people to do their jobs correctly may be evolving into a thing of the past!!! Having made a specific in-person-appointment with our doctor to get a vitally important RX refilled, we were told, "Don't worry. We no longer give out paper RX... We will answer your pharmacy right away when they contact us for renewal."
Got on it immediately and eight days later, still no renewal of RX nor a reply from the doctor's office to pharmacy to renew the now gone prescription. After no fewer than ten calls to find our what was going on to both pharmacy and doctor's office, all I got is being put on hold, a machine with endless, repeated useless instructions, and then... disconnected. So what would you do given that this may become your new normal as well?
I did the only other thing I could think of and very inconveniently drove in person to both, told off a plethora of no longer respected workers in the middle of this wasteful stupidity and failure to do their jobs properly. Am still waiting. It is now the second weekend w/o medz and if my temper can be contained, I believe the following is going to happen. Many apologies from those involved, only to repeat similar mistakes all over again. Medicine is drowned in too many papers, too many rules, and too little common sense. There is no one person, office worker, doctor, government to blame anymore. It is part and parcel of too many non-essentials getting between the patient and their doctors. This is not limited to Medicine. The days of efficient hard workers are waning. Why should people care anymore when no one is responsible for what is going on? Besides, how many people still have the same work ethic we older people were raised with? If you too need to let off some steam about the current and worsening levels of inefficiency of government, medicine, and those who simply do not care to do a job well, this is your forum! Qvizzlings and Reptilians
Have you ever known those who smile at you, take your kindness as stupidity, and then premeditatedly stab you in the back? If not, then you are truly a lucky puppy. :-) Over a very long lifetime and the many years of being a counselor, betrayal by a trusted friend/relative/boss/religion/etc... is a huge part of why people seek help. No, you are not alone in this ugly part of human nature.
If you believe in GOD/dess, KARMIC LAW, or some other manner of belief in ETERNAL Universal Law, no one really gets away with massacres, genocides, murder, cruelty, sadism, or any other heinous act of hurtfulness like rape and torture. The difficult part for me and many others I speak with is that we do not see much genuine justice down here. Many of us just don't know why this is. Do you?
For all my politically oriented life, all I see over and over again with governments is a plethora of greed, control-freak-ism(s), and untold amounts of corruption. When someone does try to break the hideous mold, they are all too often vaporized in order to stop them from showing how criminally intended far too many politicians and rulers really are. But, they will also get their true justice in God's time. That my friends, is NOT our time, as we humans are so impatient to see justice meted out. This particular lesson in patience is one my own personal difficult ladders to master. Let's hear from you on such a vital subject with ideas.
