I personally think that over the last 15 years, at least, we have been involved in so many wars and uprisings, have heard of so many others, have it splashed across our television news, radio stations, (if anyone still listens to radio besides me,) internet opinions, blogs, and I could go on and on that I believe people are trying to turn it off, at least in their heads. They don't want to see us get boots on the ground in another war we aren't winning.

This started back with Korea, Nam, Iraq, Afghanistan. Can anyone honestly say we WON any of these wars? Can anyone honestly say we should even have BEEN in any of these wars? People are sick of sending their sons, husbands, fathers over to lands they never even heard of until the fighting started, only to have our government tell us years later that it wasn't REALLY a WAR! Tell that to the families whose sons, husbands, fathers, brothers; yes, and mothers and sisters either never came home or came home so wounded and discouraged they were and never will be the same.

We went into Iraq when we never should have, because of a lie our president believed, hook, line and sinker. Then we were withdrawn. Victors? NO! We should have taken note from Russia who spent years fighting in Afghanistan. Did they win? No! Are we winning? No! We're trying to push democracy into countries who have no idea what democracy is about and, frankly, don't give a damn to find out.

What happened in France, what's happening in European countries, Middle East and African countries is horrible. Isis is not a religious group. They don't give a damn about any GOD! They want power and might and will kill anyone and everyone to get it. These are people--if you can even call them that--with no conscience. They are of a single mind and that mind is for CONQUEST.

Are we burying our heads in the sand? Maybe. Maybe some of us are scared. Maybe some people keep telling themselves IT CAN'T HAPPEN HERE....AGAIN!

It's not going to take a horde of Isis soldiers marching into Time Square. It's going to take 5 or 6 radicalized idiots who have been listening to the Isis propaganda walking into a place like The Mall of America with guns and explosives. Wars aren't between fighting soldiers any more. Wars are between young men and women who, I believe, think they are still playing Cowboys and Indians. They haven't grown up. They've had everything handed to them or else they are from the other side of the cities and feel they've had nothing handed to them and they want REVENGE.

But Isis isn't going to go away. But does America have to be the ONLY country that gives EVERYTHING to beat back those hell bent on destroying everything good?

Excellent question. Here in the U.S. we've had years of plenty and freedom very few civilizations have ever had for so long. We've not had war on our soil since the Civil War and so this brutality is not a reality to "freedom softened" Americans, and we don't want to think about it. But we have GOT to toughen up and change our mind set, because it IS coming and these people (IS) are human animals with blind obsession. Seems the Democratic platform is the same. Blind obsession, and they've caused so much damage over the years. And no one wants to hear that O. IS a muslim and he is working toward the destruction of our country. Why else would he be bound to have the Syrian immigrants allowed in, when so many of them are certainly enemies?
 

Mr. Obama... What is your REAL reason for wanting to let in so many Muslims, and especially now from Syria? We all know that terrorists are coming with them. You do not want to protect Americans, now do you!!!! Are you really a Christian when you allow so few Christian refugees into America? Or, as seems so very obvious by now, are you actually the Muslim/Communist we all see you as!!!! anon
