YOUNG

Do You remember being young?  I do.  It was an amazing journey of learnings.  Sometimes simple.  But... sometimes very harsh and painful as well.  After more than a few decades, I have come to realize that = LIFE IS ABOUT MAKING CHOICES!!!
Are you satisfied with all of yours?  Could they use some tweaking? In my personal case, the tweaking is an ongoing process.
I would love to hear about your choices at different stages of your lives?  Thank you all in advance.

COMMENTS:

I am not a nostalgic person. My feelings about my past are that it is over. I am an adult now and in charge of my life.
I miss those who are not on this plane anymore -
Probably would have made the same choices if the circumstances were the same...
Really prefer thinking about the future :) N. TUCSON, AZ

You are still very beautiful

Dr. Yanez, my choices led me to a life of great highs and devastating lows.  ANON in Manitoba

Both my parents taught me to be careful about making choices.  For the majority of my short 20 year old life, it seems they taught me well.  Thanks MOM and DAD ;)

Uncle Al and the Products of War

My Uncle Al aka Abraham Schwartz went to war in the U.S. Navy.  He fixed bombardment airplanes both on the warships and in industrial environments during WW 2, and was constantly exposed to ASBESTOS.
In the mid 90s nearly 50 years after the exposures to asbestos, he began having chronic trouble with  coughing and feeling ill.  He was not a smoker, drank quite a bit, and decided to be tested in a Brooklyn, NY hospital.  It came back Lung Cancer.  After allowing them to inject dye to do even more tests, he had a fatal allergic reaction to the dye.  When he passed shortly after that last phone call I made to the hospital, I never even knew of the word MESOTHELIOMA!

In recent years, there have been massive numbers of class action lawsuits on behalf of dying people who contracted this horrendous illness from being exposed to asbestos.  Many were just like my Uncle Al.... who were also in the U.S. Navy during
WW 2.

Of course it is after the fact, as he died in 1994.   But.... My Wonderful Uncle Al/Abie, I still miss your love and caring for me and my child.  You were so busy in life helping others.  I recall you saying that you wanted to be an angel when you crossed over.  Well, now you are!

We will never know how many people were exposed to asbestos and died before this word of MESOTHELIOMA came into the American Jargon.
Thanks to the many class-action-lawyers, we are now hearing about it with your ads on TV.  RIP  Uncle Al!!!!

Quoted by Barack H. Obama

Please check this out yourself on Snopes Link. I did.  RubyNorma *o*

The Quote of the Decade:
"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America ' s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the US Government cannot pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government ' s reckless fiscal policies. Increasing America ' s debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that, "the buck stops here. ' Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better."

For The Love of Animals-Part Two

I love to write. And..... I love to do research about miraculous events. So it stands to reason that I once chose to do a book about miracles.  About half of it discusses animals and their participation in these documented wondrous phenomena.  For a number of years I have enjoyed the company and stories of other writers who frequently do what I do.  They are a backbone of courageous and loving souls in my life and in the lives of defenseless animals living in shelters.  So many are put to sleep it boggles my heart and soul.  It hasn't been an easy journey to work and care so deeply for the animals.  Sometimes it is downright horrific to see the desperation and suffering of these lost beings.  Please find it in your heart to adopt a shelter animal and save a life?  Please care!
Dedicated to the many animals I have loved and nurtured, here and in Rainbow. God Bless You And Keep You Safe.
AMEN ~ MOMMY Ruby *o*

FOR THE LOVE OF ANIMALS/PETS Part One

Around the time the little girl in the top photo
was beginning to become aware of her world, and the lady with the flowers on the front of her dress was a fairly new mother, my first miraculous rescue took place.  We were up in The NYS Catskills in a summer bungalow, when I heard a mental meowing for help.  I scrambled outside and followed the mental sound until  a dying kitten was found.  She was severely injured and my heart told me that I must bring her back to the bungalow for Mommy Irene to fix.  MOM had been trained as a lifeguard to do some emergency medical stuff.
The entire time I assisted my mother is operating to remove a blood-sucker-leech from the baby cat's shoulder, the kitten didn't make a sound or move.  It was as if she knew we were desperately trying to save her.
Nor did I find it ugly or sickening to help MOM.
We had powdered sulfer and put it in the deep wound... sewed her with white sterilized cotton, and then bandaged the kitten up.  With an eye-dropper, we gently fed little amounts of home-made chicken soup, mashed veggies, and some diluted milk.  She was almost starved to death.

As a baby myself, I decided to call her BIGGIE.
The name made sense to me in those days.  Biggie lived,
and my soul adored her.  She had a number of litters.  Although I do not own a picture of Biggie, it is believed that she is in the group of cats eating  on our back porch.  The grey kitten in that photo facing us is named Fluffy-Powder-Puff.
That tuxedo boy is Smokey who disappeared at around six months of age.  He was a soul-mate I have never forgotten up to this moment.
In that far off time of my life, cats were not given indoor litter boxes or spayed/neutered.  I always prayed that someone saw how beautiful Smokey was and took him in. If he got run over by a car, it is just too sad to think of.   MOM told me I sobbed for two long weeks on my hands and knees at the door screaming for Smokey to come home.  It was a severe trauma in my young, naive child-life.
I love you Smokey.  I love you Biggie.  To be continued.........

Prayer For Bringing Love to Our Lives

To bring happy love into our lives, it can help to use focused imagery!  Instead of praying/asking The Universal Mind for a specific being or situation to bless us, another and safer way is to ask for the right and perfect one(s) and situations to bless our lives.  The more I have used this method, the more I realize how effective it can be.

BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU PRAY FOR.  YOU CAN GET IT AND REGRET IT.

This is why I ask for the right and perfect - - - - - - - - -    The responsibility is off my shoulders and given up to GOD. grins :-)
Please feel free to send in all your best prayers and guided image imaginings.  Not only do I love reading your comments, but so do the readers of Norma's Ark.
